Chigda follows his fellow young Paladin after daily training.

Chigda lingered at the treeline. He didn’t know why he’d followed Avicinda today; it wasn’t as if they were friends, just a pair of young Paladins in the same squad. Perhaps he’d been tired of heading home alone right after training.

He hadn’t expected the sight in the clearing before him: a large group of Faewish Sprites, all bearing golden ears. He recognized Vice Captain Vanheida from the back, placing a sword in Avicinda’s hand.

Avicinda’s gaze shifted, and their eyes met over Vanheida’s shoulder. Avicinda’s own shoulders tensed, but he turned away.

And Chigda realized he wished to follow.
